Cookie policy
PagePal is used by children, so we keep cookies to the minimum needed to make the service work. There is no advertising or tracking, and optional analytics only ever run with your permission.
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Essential cookies, always on
- Sign-in cookies and browser storage: keep teachers and pupils signed in and save work to the right account. Removing them signs you out.
- Security cookies: protect sign-in and payment requests from misuse.
- Payment cookies set by Stripe: used only on the payment form, to process a subscription securely and prevent fraud.
- Local storage for the pupil demo: when someone tries the builder from the public site, their practice website is saved on their own device and never sent to us.
- A small record of the cookie choice you made, so the banner does not reappear on every page.
Optional analytics cookies, only with your permission
If you choose "Accept analytics" on the cookie notice, we use Google Analytics on our public pages (such as the homepage, blog and pricing) to understand how teachers find and use the site. It sets cookies such as _ga that distinguish one visitor from another and remember which pages were viewed. It does not run if you choose "Essential only".
What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, social media pixels, or cross-site trackers. Nothing on a pupil's builder page tracks them across other websites, and published pupil websites are excluded from search engines.
Do you need to consent?
The essential cookies are strictly necessary to deliver a service you have asked for, so UK rules do not require consent for them. Analytics cookies are optional: they only load after you accept them, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser storage for this site.
Managing cookies
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, but blocking them will stop sign-in and payment from working. School devices may be managed centrally, in which case your IT team controls these settings.
