Accessibility statement
This statement covers pagepal.school, the teacher workspace and the pupil website builder.
What we aim for
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA across the PagePal website, the teacher workspace and the pupil builder.
Accessibility is checked as part of building new features rather than as a one-off audit, and we prioritise anything that stops a pupil or member of staff completing a task.
What we have built in
Pages use headings, landmarks and labelled form fields so they can be navigated with a screen reader or keyboard alone.
Every control the pupil builder relies on can be reached by keyboard, and section controls stay visible on touch devices rather than only appearing on hover.
Text and interface colours are chosen for contrast, and the layout reflows without horizontal scrolling down to a phone-sized screen.
Pupil websites carry the same responsive layout, so finished work is readable on a phone, tablet or computer.
Known limitations
Pupils choose their own words, colours and pictures, so a finished pupil website may not meet contrast guidance or include alternative text for every picture. Staff reviewing a site before publication are best placed to check this.
Some drag-free layout choices in the builder are visual by nature, and we are continuing to improve how they are described to screen reader users.
Telling us about a problem
If you cannot use part of PagePal, email support@pagepal.school describing the page and what happened. We aim to reply within one working day and will tell you when we expect to have it fixed.
If you are unhappy with our response, contact us again and we will escalate it within Greyphox Digital Ltd.
